Amanda Brugel

(February 27th of 2010 to Toronto ON) Pointe Claire is a secluded community in the part of Montreal called the West Island. The West Island has a lot of communities. Many who've never heard of it often think it is an island that is west-facing. Amanda Brugel's birthplace has been frequently cited, however her short visit to the West Island wasn't. Brugel grew in Courtice, just outside of Oshawa. Early ambitions were to become a dancer. But, a growing rate increased her height and she outgrew every dance partner she had. In an article that was published in the Toronto Star that she is 6'1" tall, even when she wears heels. After I became too big for my male partners I stopped. Many former dancers turn into acting. In the case of Brugel it was a suggestion from her high school teacher of drama. The teacher suggested she try to find a role in school's annual play. After a few auditions her options, she was eventually the lead actress in Anne of Green Gables. The show was granted a Fine Arts Talent Scholarship to take part in York University's Theater Program which she completed from the program in 2000, earning a degree of Bachelor's in Fine Arts. Since then, Brugel's been involved in more than 60 shows, large and small. Most notable was when she landed Rita's role on The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was the sole Canadian cast member for Season 1 of the show and was only appeared on occasion.

Aisha Hinds, an American actor best known for playing roles in the television series The Shield and True Blood. Her range of talents has been proven through TV shows such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1, 8-7, and Under the Dome since she first made an appearance acting in the year 2003.
